2-3 Cell Lipo Charger
 Here
is a simple entry level lipo charger. We brought it on
to help those who want to move to lipo's but may not
want to pay for the high dollar chargers until they are
sure they are going to make the jump. Or for the folks
who need a small charger for the field box. Also a great
small charger to use at the office. A few have purchased
power supplies and use them to charge at work for a
lunch time flight.
Using it is easy.
Simply select 2 cell or 3 cell from the dip switch on
the face. Attach the charger to the power source. Plug
in the battery.
Charger comes with
JST connector attached to the charge port, and alligator
clips to connect to your field battery or power source.
We are also including a male Deans connector should you
want to retro fit it to deans.
Auto select charge
rate of .8A - 1A (will exceeded 1C charge rate on any
pack less then 800mah). Input voltage 10V - 15V. Red led
indicates power, yellow indicates charging, green
indicates charged.
Size: 3 1/8 Long, 2"
wide, less then 1" thick. Weighs 2.5oz. with
plugs.

PowerPilot Voltage Meter Discharger & Balancer

PowerPilot Voltage Meter , Discharger &
Balancer For 2- 6 Cells Li-Po & Li-Fe Battery
Main Functions: Voltage Meter,
Discharger, & Balancer
Big LCD Display: 2.3in. x 1.1in.
(60mmX30mm)
The Balancer / Discharger is designed for
Li-Polymer and Li-Fe battery (A123), it measures overall
battery voltage as well as individual cell voltages
precisely. This unit also balances cells voltage in
battery packs, and it can discharge individual cells as
well. A great unit for long time storage.
The balance Function:
Simply plug in your battery (Lipo or
A123). Press the mode button. Press the up or down arrow
to set minimum cell balance voltage.
The Discharge function:
Plug in your battery, press the mode
button twice, set the minimum discharge voltage with the
up or down arrow to store minimum cell discharge voltage
limit.
What I really like is it is compact and
easy to use. I use it often right after a flight to see
how low I ran the pack, or if I have enough for another
quick flight. It helps me immensely to set flight times.

We brought on this
charger to speed up the charging process on the bigger
packs and being able to charge batteries other then
lipos. This is pretty close to a do all charger and
competes directly with other chargers in the $140 price
bracket. It comes with an array of charging connectors.
It can be powered by field battery or an A/C wall power
supply (not included). It is the updated version with
Deans connectors. So if you use deans you will not seed
to solder on your connector. It has several safety
features such as time cut of, temperature cut off
(internal charger temp only), and capacity cut
off. One of the little perks I like is a beeper to let
you know when charging is done (can be turned off as
well). When it gets down to actual use of the charger it
shines. It can be used to charge out of the discharge
port. Or is also a balance charger. During charge it
will show you input voltage, pack voltage (individual
cell voltage when balance charging), how long the pack
has been charging, and capacity the battery has been
given. For a
lipo guy like myself the best feature by far is the
ability to handle up to 5-cells and charge at a 5 amp
rate if I need it. If you want to charger A123 cells
look at the Imax B6 Below.

Until you are willing to follow all safety
precautions, DO NOT use lithium batteries.
Lithium Polymer batteries were
designed for mobile devices and not for R/C use.
Although some manufactures now see the R/C
market as a good viable market. In general
Lithium polymer technology was not originally
intended for high rate use as in R/C
applications. Therefore, the technology of
Lithium Polymer batteries in radio-controlled
models is to be considered experimental (not
just ours all of them). Our cells come from a
factory whom makes cells specifically for R/C
use. But please follow all guidelines and
precautions that are set for lithium polymer
batteries. The R/C hobby is fun, it can be a
daily escape, relaxing, and offer extreme
thrills. The last thing we want is someone to be
injured, or suffer property damage from their
hobby.
We suggest you follow AMA safety
precautions with any Lipo battery. Since we
cannot guarantee customers will follow the
proper safety precautions and use an appropriate
well functioning charger with the correct
settings, therefore, Mile High RC, it's agents,
distributors, employees, associates, etc..
assume no responsibility for the use of Lithium
Polymer battery products by our customers. Your
purchase and use of this product means you
accept our terms and you are fully responsible
for any consequences of your use. That being
said we do guarantee or packs to be free from
defects of parts and or faulty workmanship.
So far with the ESL cells the
only cause of pack failure has been shorting
while installing a connector, or not having the
pack connected properly (exposed wires). Please
learn from past customers & personal experience.
Do not expose the wires on both leads at the
same time. Trim one wire attach to connector,
cover, then work on the second lead. If you
decide to use bullet type connectors (not
recommended) we suggest making one lead shorter
then the other. This limits the chance of
+/- coming in contact. If you need any help or
would like suggestions feel free to drop us a
line.
