Firewall and/or Sick Mount Gear Box

This is a great versatile Gear box. Works with both our 400 and 450 series motors.  It is compatible with the 10mm or 3/8 stick mounts and also can be used as a firewall mount. The GWS 400 size shafts, spur gears, and pinion gears are all compatible replacement parts, making it easy and affordable to change setups.

Here is the quirk. I have found a few of the gear boxes are not labeled with the correct gear ratio, and a few are not labeled at all. So we will include an extra spur and pinion to suit your needs. How do you get the free spur and pinion? Make a note while checking out, let us know what gear ratio you need. If you do not make a note we will assume you do not need a specific set and we will not send the extra set.

Available ratios are as follows: 2.4:1, 2.38:1, 2.67:1, 3:1, 3.4:1, 3.9:1, 4.5:1, 5.28:1, 6.3:1. If you need help deciding on the gear ratio for your set up feel free to drop us a line, we are more then happy to help all we can.

Replacement Shafts

2.3mm shaft is needed when used in a gear box, but can be used direct drive as well. 3mm shaft is recommended when going direct drive the extra thickness is a bit stronger. 3.1mm shafts for the 500 series motors. We also have some 3mm shafts with a 3.1mm tip. The 3.1mm tip is great for using the 300 and 400 series motors with a folding prop where the adaptor in the prop is 3.1mm.

Motor Mounts

Plastic GWS stick mount suitable for 400 and 450 series outrunner motors.

Motor mounts for 10mm stick mount. Pusher or puller application, in other words the motor can mount on either side of the mount. Clips hold the motor wires out of the way. Does not come with screws. Motor mounts for 10mm stick mount. Motor can mount on either side of mount but is made to mount from behind. Has great strength yet is still easy to adjust the thrust line.
